Frozen

The coldest days of the winter has passed here in Netherlands, as they're predicting above zero temperature for the coming weeks. This is my first really snowy winter, because when I was living in Delft there was very little snow.

I was all happy to be getting some real snow fall and piles of snow and frozen canals around, but I have to admit the winter was not easy. Especially because I arrived here during the coldest time of the winter, from 30+ deg C weather in Indonesia, I didn't get any adjustment time. So right now I'm kinda glad that it's getting warmer :P.

So while I have mostly stayed at home during the snowy days, I braved myself to walk around the neighborhood a few times to take my first snow pictures :).  Snow may be gone out there, but expect some snowy pictures coming in my blog! ;).

Anway, here's a few close ups of frozen leaves and branch. Just love the small texture of snow on them.

  11. I love the texture of frost & snow on trees, as well.
    These are lovely photos!
Here in northern Minnesota we have had a break from bitter cold temps for a couple of days, as it had been -30°(F).
Reaching above freezing temps one afternoon this week felt balmy!!
